Management & Administration

The business of Bonner Kiernan is directed by a five-person Executive Committee.  Currently serving on the Executive Committee are Keith Bonner, Joseph Bottiglieri, Joseph Crociata, John Kiernan and Barry Trebach.  In addition, Kevin McCarthy, CPA, CLM, the firm’s Director of Finance and Administration, manages the day-to-day administrative and finance operations of the firm.

Bonner Kiernan is committed to the use of technology as a tool in driving our success and we continually enhance our capabilities in this area.  All of the firm's offices are connected through a virtual private network (VPN) allowing for high speed electronic communication and data transfer between offices.  We also have the ability to set up individual attorneys with the latest technology in their homes to connect to our office via the secure VPN.  Client documents are electronically stored in our server data base and referenced by our client matter number for easy access and searchability.

We utilize Thomson Elite Enterprise to record our time and billing which provides access for time entry from any web browser, and provides matter management functionality to attorneys.  The firm creates electronic bills in several formats to meet client requirements including Ledes 98, TyMetrix, Adobe PDF and Ariba formats.  We currently submit electronic invoices through Advocator, BottomLine Legal Exchange, Allegient, TyMetrix 360, Serengeti, CounselLink, Legal Precision, Litigation Advisor and Ariba Supplier Network.

The firm uses the latest extranet technology to securely host case-related information for access by clients, local counsel and others who need to maintain a constant "finger on the pulse" of a case.  The extranet is fully secure and those provided with access to the firm's extranet can use the site from any computer with an Internet connection.  Through this "eRoom" extranet technology, the firm can provide Internet-based access to case pleadings, deposition transcripts, medical records and summaries, expert information and scheduling information.

The firm uses both Summation and Concordance for trial preparation on complex cases.  In addition, most litigation graphics and trial exhibits are prepared in-house by experienced paralegals.

Bonner Kiernan runs a full server backup weekly with incremental backups every night as part of our disaster recover strategy, and we also store backup tapes offsite.  And of course, the Firm utilizes LexisNexis for electronic legal research.
