Matthew Johnson is an of counsel in the Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Johnson practices in state of federal courts in the areas of civil and commercial litigation. He has advised clients on a wide range of matters including insurance coverage disputes, catastrophic loss claims, product defects, premises liability, fire cause and origin, automobile tort and property management.
Mr. Johnson is also experienced in construction law and has represented owners, general contractors, subcontractors and developers in construction and government contract disputes, bid protests, Miller Act claims and other commercial matters.
Mr. Johnson has considerable trial experience in the courts of Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia and is adept at developing creative and cost effective litigation strategy in order to obtain favorable resolution for both individuals and organizations. In addition to his trial experience, Mr. Johnson recognizes the benefits of alternative dispute resolution, having utilized mediation and arbitration to save his clients millions of dollars in potential verdicts and legal expenses.
