Joe Bottiglieri is a partner in the firm’s Washington, DC office. He has over 25 years of experience litigating matters in the areas of product liability, premises liability including allegations of negligent security, professional liability, insurance disputes, franchising, and commercial leasing, as well as other areas of commercial litigation.
In addition, Joe has substantial experience handling FELA (Federal Employees Liability Act cases, as well as cases involving the Federal Railroad Safety Act (FRSA)), and passenger claims against railroads, Joe has tried numerous matters in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, and Florida and has argued appeals in Washington, DC, Maryland, New Jersey and Florida.
He has litigated and tried numerous catastrophic injury cases in several states. Often Joe is asked to step in pro hac vice during ongoing litigation to help bring cases to a successful resolution.
Joe also has substantial experience representing food manufacturers and retailers across the United States in the areas of food safety, franchising, and real estate litigaton, and has received awards from McDonald’s Corporation in this regard.
He has extensive experience working on matters involving foodborne pathogens including e.coli O157:H7, product tampering, hot beverage allegations, food allergens, and the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act. Joe routinely handles complex litigation involving foodborne illness outbreaks. In litigating these cases he routinely works with the leading national and international scientific experts in the field.
