Kenneth Schoen is the Managing Partner of the Firm's New Jersey and New York offices. He specializes in the defense of personal injury, construction, construction defect, employer liability, medical malpractice, products liability and food litigation.
Mr. Schoen has tried numerous matters in New Jersey and New York and counsels a broad client base in litigation strategies. He has substantial experience representing manufacturers and retailers across the United States in areas of food safety, specializing in restaurant and food industry liability claims. Mr. Schoen is regional counsel for a leading national restaurant chain and also works with national insurance carriers in defense of construction and medical malpractice claims, employing his broad litigation experience. Mr. Schoen is also the panel legal expert for SingleEdition.com, a lifestyle media company providing advice and resources for single living.
From 1988 to 1993, Mr. Schoen served as Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, where he served as counsel to the State Health Benefits Commission and defended state entities and employees in tort claims and civil rights actions in both state and federal courts. He was an original appointee to the Environmental Compliance Unit of the Division of Law, created specifically to defend state agencies against environmental claims.
Mr. Schoen received his B.A. from Emory University in 1985 and received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1988.
