Michael J. Smith is a Partner in the Firm’s Boston office and has worked for the firm since 1992. He has over 16 years of experience litigating matters in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island in the areas of product liability, commercial litigation, premises liability, liquor liability, toxic tort litigation and complex environmental and insurance coverage cases. Mr. Smith advises corporate clients regarding loss prevention procedures, customer safety and risk management issues. Mr. Smith has also given numerous presentations to insurers on claims handling procedures, defense and indemnity agreements and bad faith.
Mr. Smith is a member of the Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island bar associations. He is also a member of DRI. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island
He graduated from the Providence College, B.A. in 1989 and attended law school at Quinnipiac College School of Law and Boston College and received his J.D. in 1992.
