Nimalan Amirthalingam is Of Counsel in the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office, focusing his practice in civil litigation. He has previously litigated matters in the areas of commercial litigation; real estate; wills, trusts and estates; product liability; contracts; and guardianship and conservatorship matters.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Amirthalingam entered private practice in Washington, D.C., where he represented clients in class-action securities litigation. Thereafter, Mr. Amirthalingam focused his practice predominantly on litigation involving real estate, as well as wills, trusts, and estates. Mr. Amirthalingam is a former member of the D.C. Superior Court Probate Panel where he served as a court-appointed attorney for subjects of guardianship and conservatorship proceedings.
Mr. Amirthalingam has taken a number of cases to trial which ultimately resulted in favorable verdicts.
