Sam Lewis is an Associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Lewis focuses his practice on defending clients in a wide array of civil litigation matters, including but not limited to Medical Malpractice, General Negligence, Product Liability, Construction Accidents, Premises Liability, and Insurance Coverage. Prior to joining Bonner Kiernan, Mr. Lewis was a plaintiff’s attorney handling Medical Malpractice and other personal injury matters throughout the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore areas.
From 2015 to 2017, Mr. Lewis served as a Law Clerk to Judge William S. Greenberg of the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Prior to moving to Washington, D.C., Mr. Lewis was a litigator in New York City, handling Personal Injury, Civil Rights, Insurance Coverage, and Criminal Defense matters.
Mr. Lewis received his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School, where he was part of the Appellate Advocacy Division of the Moot Court Honor Society and the Capital Defenders and Federal Habeas Clinic. Prior to law school, Mr. Lewis was a paralegal for a plaintiffs-side boutique litigation firm in New York City that prosecuted securities fraud, antitrust, and healthcare fraud class actions on behalf of labor unions and municipalities. Mr. Lewis received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Lewis was born and raised in Washington, D.C., and lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with his wife and two children.
