Wendy Stein is a partner in the Washington, DC office of Bonner Kiernan Trebach & Crociata. She focuses her practice on professional malpractice defense, insurance coverage issues, commercial litigation, personal injury and property damage, appellate practice, and health law. She is rated AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell® in Commercial Law, Litigation, and Professional Liability.  She has been consistently been named as a Top Lawyer in South Florida by ALM since 2013.

Ms. Stein has litigated cases around the country, including the defense of class actions as well as federal litigation arising out of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and the Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act.

Ms. Stein received degrees from the University of Georgia, B.A., cum laude; and Florida State University College of Law, J.D., cum laude. She is admitted to the Florida Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, the U.S. Supreme Court Bar, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida. She recently obtained her Masters in Forensic Accounting from the Florida Atlantic University.

Since 2004, she has been a certified instructor of Adjuster Law and Policy Courses for the Department of Financial Services.  Ms. Stein authored the case note, “Powell v. Georgia,” published in FSU Law Review, Summer 2000; co-authored the chapter entitled, “Motions in Limine” in The Defense Speaks, practice manual from the Florida Defense Lawyer’s Association, 2006; and authored “MLR: The Controversial Calculation Makes Its Appearance In The Health Care Reform Debate,” ABA Health eSource, March 2010.
