Bonner Kiernan Motion for Summary Judgment Granted in Death Case
February 9, 2015
A DC Superior Court Judge granted a Bonner Kiernan insured's Motion for Summary Judgment in a case where the plaintiff, a 70 year old bicyclist (who biked to work three days a week), either swerved to avoid co-defendant's car door or struck it, sending him under the wheels of our client's van.  The plaintiff suffered multiple fractures of his pelvis and crushed his urethra, requiring five surgeries.  Plaintiff suffered a heart attack and died after the fifth surgery. Bonner Kiernan partner Keith Bonner was lead counsel on the case, and was assisted by Patrick Curran and Adam Michel.

The Plaintiff's last demand  prior to the granting of our Motion for Summary Judgment: $2.35 million
